These burgers were first created in the college town of Berrien Springs, MI where my husband and I attended Andrews University. They are an absolute delicious hit and favorite (even among people who don't typically enjoy lentils...)

Ingredients:
1 cup cooked red lentils (drain excess water)
½ chopped onion and 3 cloves minced garlic (sauté)
½ cup white flour (for GF may be able to omit or use rice flour)
1 cup quick oats
1 or 2 Tablespoons ground flaxseed
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon cumin
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Mckays chicken seasoning (may omit- not really sure that it did much for me)
½ or 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
2 pinches cayenne pepper

Directions:
Mix ingredients together and fry on the skillet into burgers.Serve on your choice of bread.
